stumble? hiccup? don't know what to call it 700 1985

85 744 NA J-type OD. My Bride's car.

She's developed a new problem. The car starts and runs fine, but upon acceleration or load, the engien will quickly stumble and just as quickly, act as if nothing is wrong.

It will stumble quickly as stated, then begin to accelerate normally. It might do this twice in a row with an interval of normal acceleration between.

New updated wiring harness (couple yrs ago)
New FPR (not too long ago)
Other items that don't come to mind right now.

I can't verify this just yet, as the car seems to only want to do it under load, but I suspect loss of fire. I've had some bad distributor connectors and such over the years, but in my case, they've all caused heavy stumbles. This is just a quick nothing, then back to normal.

Maybe it's just that I've burnt myself out today working on so many projects, but nothing's jumping out @ me to think of just yet.

OH! the car did something simular, but much worse (not even drivable) and not only under load a few months ago, but that turned out to be a bad IGN SW connector and has since been repaired (THAT was a first).

Maybe some fresh minds can help me get my own mind back on track.

Thanks Muchly!
Frank
