Long Live the 740 700

Hello All,
Let me preface this post by saying that without this forum and the local U-Pull-It yard, I would have probably moved onto something newer. Thanks for the help.
I've got a leaky water pump. Put a new one in March 2004 when I bought the Brick on E-bay. Done lots of preventative repairs, mostly due to my anal obsessive behavior and this forum. Do these pumps always leak from that little O-ring donut between the head and pump? Its leaking enough for me to see coolant on the pump and front of the block. I'm going to pull the pump and reseal when I have the time. I'll be doing the heater hoses and valve as well.
Any tips?
Also noticed bushings for the Panhard rod have perished. Ordered a new set of Poly bushings from IPD. Anybody do these at home? Will I need a press or can I improvise? Tips anyone?
I've really become attached to this Old clunker and want to see her go until she rusts away like every old car here in Upstate NY.
She's got about 130,000 miles and runs great. I'm getting about 18 mpg city/ 25 mpg hwy. Put some Bilsteins and IPD sways om her recently. LONG LIVE THE 740!
Sorry for the long post, and thanks for the help.
