780 Bertone Adventures in buying a used car 700

I've found a 780 bertone (turbo 4) locally and went to look at it yesterday. Have not driven it but checked out the underside and body etc.

It's in very good shape, not perfect but not ragged out (there is one of those round the corner from me).

One thing strikes me as being odd. The radius rods (strut rod?) are brand new. There is no sign of collision in the front. The rest of the suspension is about what one would expect for a car with 150k. Needs balljoints, struts etc. Likely a reason it's being sold.

Any thoughts on these new rods?
