I've been living on borrowed time with rotten wires long enough, so I think I'll have a go at removing the harness and replacing the wires as needed instead of buying a new one (I've been on Dave Barton's waiting list for a long time with no luck). Engine is an '81 B21F/CIS/K-jet/non-turbo.
So I have a couple of questions:
1 - are those common coils of wire sold in auto parts stores adequate, or do I need to look elsewhere (and if so, where)?
2 - what else to do while I have the manifold off? I think the ECT sensor is going bad, but I was measuring resistance at the terminal in the passenger compartment, so I don't know that that's not just a product of lousy connections, but I'll probably replace it anyway. Anything else to do while I'm in there?
Thank you all!
