Has anyone have a 960 with onboard diagnostics repeatedly fail emissions. I had a PNP sensor act up in January. You know th edrill. Flashing E-S-W lights and the check engine light came on. Worked the shifter back and forth to clean PNP sensor contacts. Transmission lights went out. I had the on-board diagnostics code downloaded and check engine light turned off.
The car has failed emissions 3 times over the last 5000 miles. The registry says that some Volvo on board diagnostic computers are never able to reboot themselves so as to allow the car to pass emissions even though the engine light remains off.
Any similar experiences????
Time to tell my wife to return to driving 122s with 300,000+ miles. More austere and spartan than th e960 much much less headaches.
