Volvo glass: anything appealing as a target? How to protect?

Oooooo, I am becoming discouraged.

Why? We have parked our 745 on the street for years. It's common in our neighborhood to park on the street.

Last night another window was broken. That makes 5 in the past year. :-( :-(:-(
- Tailgate glass shot by pellet gun, last summer. 3 rounds.
- Small pane in the rear door, same time.
- Tailgate glass again, a few months ago; BB found when sweeping the street.
- Driver's window smashed, and CD receiver ripped out, 2 weeks ago. (Humble player, but still too tempting.)
- Left rear quarter glass shot out last night.

I get to replace each one. (It's like the intro to the old "Mission Impossible" series: "Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to learn to replace the glass parts in Volvo 745s. [Cool!] Unfortunately, the panes on YOUR car will be broken, one at a time.")

Yeah, it's clear, even to me, that a PLACE IN THE GARAGE is the answer. :-) (wanly) I am feeling quite stupid. Defeated.

Is this a Job thing, though?

Or does Volvo glass make an especially gratifying sound when broken, or shot? The near-vertical tailgate glass break better than other cars' glass?

I have to stop typing and start cleaning, taping... and get the car useable.

Ha! There is already an Amazon and a Saab in our crappy garage.
A 745 sans turbo in out friendly neighbor's garage.
A 1992 245, rust-free, behind our garage -- now also broken into.
A 745 at my mom's, where the overheated engine is being replaced.
(The common refrain: "So many cars [and boats], so little time.")

Maybe this wicked agent IS doing me the favor of telling me we need fewer cars, no matter how cheap they were, or how pretty, or how cool they can be for our family's young drivers. ;-)

I wanted to ask if I can PROTECT the glass, as with helicopter "leading edge tape," or some such, including Lexan or fiberglass overlays on the fixed glass. (I like Lexan, and have worked a lot with FG.)
But this episode makes it clear that I cannot protect ALL of the windows.

And no, I have not been aggravating someone in the neighborhood.

Thanks for listening! I feel better. No, not really...

P.S. Does anyone know of a rent-a-camera place, that will rent me something that will take a 180-degree photo (horiz.) x 15 degrees (vert.) photo (with flash to suit) when breaking glass is detected? From the midline sweeping the left -- steet -- side.
I think I am serious about that.
