Cruise Control 700

Need help finding a Speed Signal (and more).

I've gathered all the used OEM parts needed to install Cruise Control on my 1988 240 Wagon (Pump, Vacuum Switch, Servo, etc.). The parts are from various cars and years but they're all post-1986 and I'm fairly certain are between 1988 and 1993.

Included in the parts are a couple Cruise Control "brain boxes", one from a 1990 740.

First - which wire do I tap into to get a Speed Signal pulse?

Second - how can I tell if I have a compatable "brain"?
