Possible Fuel Filter?

My car dies after 3 minutes (runs longer if i let it sit over night) and I was wondering could it be the fuel filter? letting just enough through and then dieing?

It's the original fuel filter, and I did work on the gas line so maybe some dirt got in it.

Is it feasible or am just crazy?
