best deal on a 760 Volvo? 700

Hi
A long time UK user of 960 and 760s just thought to relate a little story to you all.

After some bad employment stories i lost my company car (a Grand Cherokee) so reverted to "borrowing" my fathers spare a 760 Turbo as i tried to rebuild a post dicorce and post that job life.

One day a few weeks ago i was getting in the car in a Car Park and heard a voice say "Oi Mate you want another one" turned around and saw a bloke in a bmw soft top, he offered me his Volvo 760 turbo it had a MAster Cylinder gone. Being the sort of chap I am i accepted and the following week after paying him (1 bottle of whiskey, he had asked for a drink but i beat him up to accept a whole bottle of whiskey that i had in the cupboard anyway) I was the owner of a 760 turbo.

£220 pounds at the local mechanic (who specialises in volvos) and i have a running legal car, apparently it has a new exhaust, all the belts had been changed inc timing belt and had had a "fortune" spent on it.

Just wondered is this the best deal or can anyone beat it.
