Hi All,

My '84 760 T needs a new O2 sensor. Do I have to buy the special socket to remove it? Also, I've heard of some using a universal fit Bosch sensor. To do this, the old wiring plug has to be soldered to the new harness leads. I read that this can cause a problem with the sensor's cooling function ( as it cools through the wires). Is this true? It would be much cheaper to use the universal Bosch sensor.
