She finally decided to crank.. it was the fuel leak i had that was causing a lack of fuel to crank... runs decent a little shaky (the distributor cap has a 1" crack in it, which i will replace asap).. now the automatic transmission is not doing anything. I put in roughly 1 gallon of mercon/dextron atf (sp?) after draining it and replacing the filter. No matter what setting i put the selector in it doesn't do anything. I'd be surprised that it's shot as when i pulled the pan there was no residue in there. i did check that i correctly hooked up the linkage, as when i put her in reverse the reverse lights come on (i guess the reverse switch is on the transmission, right?) any ideas what i else i can try before breaking down and buying another transmission for her. By the way it has the japanese aisan (sp?) transmission.
