ATE rear caliper foot 200

For lack of a better term, I'll call the bolt on piece of the ATE caliper a foot.

I put a rebuilt calliper on mt 245 yesterday, However it does not have the foot.

The auto parts store still has my old calliper until Friday, so I can retrieve it.

What is the purpose of this piece?

Should I put it back on?

By the way, it was a loaded calliper but I used my new PBR pads instead of the cheap ones that came installed.

Thanks

Mike
