Tonight I replaced the engine mount on my crunched car, only to find a slow drip out of the inlet neck on the radiator. I got out my 7mm socket and undid the clamp to see if it was the hose leaking or what, and the whole plastic neck came right off. This totally bums me out because its not even a part I had thought I would need to replace. Do you guys have any ideas of epoxies or glues I can use to create a new fill neck. The radiator itself is in great shape and it's a shame to total it out just because of this. However, I need some advice on what sort of glue to use that will withstand the heat and pressure of the application.
I'm thinking of finding plastic pipe (pvc?) and fitting it INSIDE the existing tube and then using a spacer or something to fit it into the hose.
Thanks for any advice.
