The PO of my amazon installed a digital TACH where the ashtray should be. It works most of the time, but it's so far from the cluster that looking at it required taking my eyes off the road. It seems to be wired up to the coil to get its signals. It that a typical setup? I'd like to get an analog tach, or at least an analog display, would I need some special sender, or would a later volvo tach just hook up the same way? Until recently, I thought that all tachs were analog based on a sensor on the engine. I read a 240 post that suggested otherwise.
Any Thoughts?
