240 Manual Sunroof, please help! 200

I own 1981 240 with a manual sun roof. I was cranking it open when the crank made a grinding noise and skipped about a half of turn. I then was not able to close it all the way. I finally was able to close it by removing the crank and using my hands to close it. Now it won't open all the way and when I try to close it, the crank will grind and skip forcing me to once again remove the crank and close it by hand. Can anyone help? I would like to try to fix it myself. If I need any parts, does anyone have any that I may buy? Your help is much appreciated.
