My daughter just bought a 1990 244, a terrific college car.
The console was ruined by the proud sellers 163lb St. Bernard.
Console fragments missing. I'm going to replace it with a hand made custom unit. I can draw, form and fabricate it myself, but need design helps/ideas. Anyone ever tackle this? Existing design drawings, design criteria or considerations of shape?

A wood unit on ebay but there were no photos, nor did I follow up with the sellers husband who made it (I read that a door flipped up to grab the E-brake handle).
Past projects include steam chambered, then formed the maple and cherry craft woods around jig pins on work table. ABS plastic sheet is okay too.
My free labor can make this happen but I am at a loss on design and it is best to find somebody who has already attempted this project. I could design one with a large comfortable armrest, cup holders, more storage space, idiot lights within.....
I wonder about another Volvo armrest that could be modified to fit? These seats ride a bit high though.
