MT vs AT...better deal? 700

I'm a 240 MT man myself, but my dad is looking to buy my younger sister a 740 wagon as a college grad gift (something to replace the 64 vw bug she drives now).

He has two options in front of him (actually 2 awesome options within 2 miles of his house in Boston)

Option one:

Manual Trans
1990 VOLVO 740 Turbo Wagon
Engine: 2.3L L4 TURBO FI SOHC
Mileage 166,000

Option Two:
Auto Trans
1991 Volvo 740 SE Turbo Wagon
Mileage 135,627

Both have:
Standard Equipment: Power Windows, Power Steering, Air Conditioning, AM / FM Cassette, Power Brakes, Power sun / moon roof, 6-digit Odometer

Both are Red with black interior.

The Auto trans is 300$ more than the Manual.

I love my manual. with an A cam and the right exhaust it's fast.
But this is for my sister, who does not need wicked fast (I may do an engine swap, for the turbo)

Which would you buy and why??
