Have almost 220 k on original mam, thought about having spare, tried to buy one from ebay a number of times for my 97 model, 96 to 98 were the same.
Of course every time I found one for the car the bid would go out the roof.
Got to looking around in the brickboard and found where some of these meters would work on different cars.
A freind has a 850-97 model, we checked the meter by just looking at the part it's self.. looked to be the same just a shorter casing around it. The meter itself can be removed with star two screws(got to find a bit) that hold it to the casing.
Bought a meter on ebay for the 97 -850 got it in yesterday, hooked it up and ran the car around about 30 min, worked great.
There are a lot more of these 850 cars out there than 960's--got the 850 part 19.00 plus 10frt.
I'll leave more feedback in a few days on how this is doing.
