Engine sputters after taking sharp corners 200

Replaced the intank pump, filter sock, and gasket thinking it was the culprit. However, when I take a sharp turn the engine will sputter or stumble as if it was fuel starved. I don't know if it's related but when I fill up the tank the car will reek of gasoline and a wet spot will be visible underneath the tank. Can anyone help me here? Hope everyone is are enjoying the highways during this great summer we are having!
