I recommend GENUINE VOLVO air filter 200 1989

This is an update on my little air filter fristration post from yesterday. I got up early in the morning and went to the dealership to get an OEM air filter after much wrangling trying to fit the Mann filter in the air box. It came out to be about $29 something--expensive, yes, but WORTH it! It fits the air box lid like a glove, as it should, and made it soooooooo much easier to close the lid and snap everything back in place! You don't really have to take out the lid, just push back toward the firewall to give enough space to slide the filter in between the lid and the box. I really should have gone with the Volvo filter to begin with, as the old one was an OEM and I remember it being fairly easy to change after I learned I could loosen the AMM from its mount. However, the price of the Mann filter from FCP and Mann's reputation made me decide to try it out. As some of you guys have said, the air filter is about 0.24" longer, and that makes changing the filter in the air box even more difficult than it already is! I'll stick with their oil filters but I'll only use GENUINE VOLVO air filters just because they are so much easier to install. No worries about the filter slacking off and "wobbling." The Volvo filter is rigid and it's blue rubber seal really fits into the grooves of the air box perfectly.

By the way, Bozzani of Covina has an excellent Parts dept. They have always been nice to me every time I go there (and that's not often). I think their Parts dept. is just nice to everyone and very helpful.
