AC RECHARGE 940 TURBO 900 1994

I read the FAQ and it mentions that the AC in my Volvo is a GM CCOT type. Does this mean that it is charged with liquid through the accumulator? The GM's had a fitting directly on the accumulator vice a pipe like the Volvo.
