Wagon Taillights Willy Wonky 200 1984

The driver's side rear lights(tail, brake and turn)all work normally. The passenger's side is another story: the turn signal works all three lights(no backup light installed), brake, tail and signal IN UNISON, quick repetition. They aren't bright enough to be a decent warning to other cars, so I'm very concerned.

What I've tried:
Replaced pass. side turn signal bulb
Cleaned and retensioned outer socket contacts
Cleaned inner socket and bulb contact areas
Spun fuses (couldn't hurt, right?)

None of the bulbs, including the one I replaced, looked abnormal.
Side note: The hatch harness has failed again. I don't think it has any bearing on this problem, but I'm clueless and so I've provided this tidbit also.

Any tips would be highly appreciated, as I will worry about this until it's repaired.
