Permatex gasket maker/ sealer for Weber carb +Canon manifold 120-130

Going to be installing the Weber 32/36 DGV soon; I have a new gasket where carb base meets manifold. I've been advised to use gasket sealer on the paper gasket. Don't have any of the sealer, though I do have a huge tube of Permatex Ultra Blue gasket maker.

Think it's OK to put some of the gasket maker on both sides of the gasket, instead of the sealer?

I don't have any type of adapter or spacer on the setup, just have the Canon manifold, the paper gasket, and the Weber.
