changed power steering lines, now steering feels funny on left turns 200 1989

Dear Brickboard,

I just replaced the 2 steel power steering lines on the front of the power steering rack of my 89 240 DL sedan.

In the process, of course, most of the fluid had to be replaced.

The car steered fine before I changed the lines. Now when I turn the wheel to the left, I get a funny feeling through the steering wheel. Its kind of like the feel you would get with a tire that was way out of ballance. But I get this feeling even when traveling slowly. Turning to the right is fine.

I suspect air in the lines but that is only a guess. I am hoping it will work itself out. I double checked the fluid level and it is full. I dont see a lot of bubbles in it.

Can anyone explain what is happening? Please advise. Thank you.

By the way, those 2 little steel lines cost over $90 at my local Volvo shop. Ouch! I was going to make some up myself but the ones I took off had fancy ends on them with little rubber O rings. Ends up that the Volvo part now has simple ends with no O rings. I could have bent them up myself after all.
