change over-122clutch sytem to 140 cable system

ok, i dont like the 122 clutch system in my 122 wagon. why cant i change out the bellhousing from a 140 b-20 to my 122 system.then reinforce the fire wall and use a clutch cable system and get away from the old high price 122 system.telling if i mine getting over my head,thanks,kim
