hello
i have just rebuilt the engine on a 1989 740 GL. i put up a post recently about the break in for that engine.
i have a problem with the idle. when i first start the car it barely runs, i have to step on the gas to keep it running, this happens weather the engine is cold or at normal opperating temp, after about 45sec - 1 min the engine idles great at about 700-800 rpm. what could be the problem? is it because the engine isn't broken in yet?
