I've been reading here for a while, and most of the questions are so intelligent and technical - I almost feel foolish asking this.
But I'm a car newbie (this is my first), so I really wanna learn.
A few days ago, the window washer on my car stopped working. The wipers work, but there's no fluid. I thought it was out, and refilled it - as you can imagine, no luck. I was getting my tires replaced at the same time, so I had the mechanic take a look at it (I had already tried to open the hood, and see if any of the pipes had come off, or something that I could manually fix) ....he told me that the washer pump was gone, and it needed to be replaced, i.e., $125.
When I asked a colleague at work, he laughed and said that it could be fixed on my own for about 25-30$. Unfortunately, he's been too busy to help me out with this fix.
Can you guys help me sort this out? It's $#(*#$ annoying to not be able to clear spots on your windshield!! Would it do-able on my own?
