Exhaust thump 200 1987

I finally got the car back from the shop, and now my gas tank doesn't leak and i have AC again!!

but my next question. . .i put on a new exhaust system, and it thumps off the car at startup every time. The part that thumps is the pipe just upstream of the front muffler. I'm wondering if the problem could be caused by the exhaust mounts. the donut-style mounts that came with the system don't appear to be the same size as the old ones; they're off by at least a quarter of an inch. do these come in different sizes? is it possible that fcpgroton sent me the wrong ones?
