Help? needed to install an 'AMMETER' 200

Good day to one and all:

I want to setup an "AMMETER" to read what is happening to the "Alternator" as I have an "E-FAN" and other "Relay" driven devise's that need monitoring.

I have a few Questions

Do I need this line to be "FUSED"(as it is passed threw the firewall)

Can I install it inline from the "ALTERNATOR" to the "BATTERY" for recharging the battery (will this give me what I need)

What gauge of wire is required

At what amperage
