always wanted one too, but it's universally thought to be a bad idea to introduce that much current into the driver compartment.

for the effort, a mechanical oil pressure gauge is the most worthwhile instrument that can be installed.

you may find that you don't want an ammeter as much if you get the charging system sorted out.
