To Much Volts? 200 1988

My voltmeter has recently been acting up. Its likes to max all the way unless it is raining or ever once in a while. Shortly after it started doing this, I went over a bump bigger then I thought it was and blew 2 fuses, the very bottom one and the one for the door locks, inside lights, etc. and the door buzzer was going off and the doors were closed. I could not replace the fuses right there and then cause it would just blow it. The next day I went to check it out and I was able to replace the fuse for the door locks, etc. because somehow it fixed it self, but not the other one, it still count. to blow when I turn on the parking lights. I didnt see any bare wires or anything else that could be causing a short. What is going on? FYI my battery is smaller then the stock one, if that helps any.

Thanks,
Ace
