Fuse tray withdrawal secret? 900

So what's the secret in withdrawing the fuse and relay board from the dash, so you can work on it?

The Haynes says simply 'withdraw the fuse board into vehicle'. BUT it ain't that easy!!!

Having NEVER once blown a fuse, I never needed to mess with it. BUT.... yesterday I had to try to accesss the board, when the 940T would not start. I found after 20 minutes of finger numbing futility, that the fuse tray wouldn't come out. I pushed back the levers on each side that held it in... but it really seemed bound in place by all the wiring underneath.

Is there any secret except for BRUTE FORCE to getting access to the fuse tray?

Also... anyone know what # fuse is for that blasted door chime? It's not listed on the ashtray guide... I tried #9 and #13 to no avail. I found that the only way I could get down to see inside the fuse tray opening was to have the door open and lay on the seat sideways... but that damn car chime drove me nuts.

Thanks for any tips....
