Jet settings on Weber

I am having very aggravating troubles with the weber carb on my volvo 144s. I am trying to get it running good enough to either sell it or drive it myself.

After constantly fiddling with the carb, I have to ask:

What ARE the jet settings supposed to be for this carb on this car? it is running on a TWM intake manifold and an original Intake/exhaust manifold cut in half and installed as the exhaust.

I think it has something to do with the idle jets, but I could be wrong as I have been trying all different sizes in both the main and secondary idle jet spots. My work suffers from the hinderances of having a limited supply of jets and having no CO meter.

right now, I have the idle jets set thus: 50 on the MAIN, and 55 on the SECONDARY the second one is bigger cause when I stomp on the gas, it pops out the carb, so I put a bigger one in, even though the barrel is smaller, and it seems to help. I may try a 60, as it still does it at times. when I try a bigger one on the MAIN, it gets to be too choked up with gas that the idle mixture screw has to be turned all the way in, and it still doesn't idle right.

but, in my mind 50 / 55 seems kind of wierd, even though its running a little better. I would like to know what all the settings are supposed to be, so I can start from there, that includes the main jets, the idle jets, the air bleeders, emulsion tubes and any part that can be changed on it.

any info would be appreciated, thanks.
