95 965 Remote Keyless entry 900 1995

I just bought my second 965. I'm happy with it so far.
It does not yet have a CD player but that is easily fixed.

I only got two keys with the car, no keyless entry FOB.
I have two fobs for my 96 965 so my first though was that I could use one of those. Can I? The 96 FOB has the lock and unlock buttons oriented vertically.
THe 95 owner's manual pictures a fob where the buttons are oriented horizontally.

THe 96 Owner's manual provides the procedure of turning the inginiton switch
to position II for 4 times then on the 5th time leave it there and
the LED on the passenger's dash should start blinking. At that point the
car is ready to be programmed for the new fob.

After doing this procedure several times on the '95 the LED never starts this blinking process. Is my 95 965 not remote entry/unlock equiped?
