Intermittent starting problems 200 1986

The fuel pump relay behind the glove box is known to give intermittant start problems. Next time you are having a problem, listen for the buzz of the fuel pump underneath the car under left rear passenger seat. If that isn't buzzing, then it could be the pump, it could be the relay. People usually pull out a soldering iron and resolder all the contacts inside the relay, or buy a new one if soldering isn't your forte.

Also, having an extra relay in the trunk doesn't hurt while on a road trip.
