Interesting problem, stalls after 2minutes25 seconds 700 1989

The 744 is in the garage awaiting winter. Went in running fine, has sat for 6 weeks. Upon cold starting it will run for about 2 1/2 minutes and then stop. During this time it will drive fine. It will not restart.
Wait 2 minutes, it will restart and run 50 seconds. Seems like it just shuts off, no stumble so i suspect an electrical malfunction.
The longer you wait after it stalls, the longer it will run upon restarting, up to 2 1/2 minutes.
Having the key on appears to have the same effect as having the engine run. (ie it will not restart after it stalls if the key is left in the on position).
Unplugging the AMM has no effect.

INteresting , eh? Any guesses?
