Converting driver side outside mirror to euro wide angle view 700

The later style 900 mirror can just be replaced with the new wide angle units, but these do not fit the older 700 series as mounting bases are different. So far I have been unable to find wide angle mirrors for older 700 series.

Using a heat gun, I loosened the mirror from the plastic base plate. This was done on both an older style mirror and the new unit. Next a coat of contact cement was applied to both the plastic base (old) and the new mirror. This coupled with the adhesive already on the mirror seems to hold very well.

No more blind spots.
