What to look for, good and bad 444-544

Hello all. My name is Ian, and i found a 1966 PV544 to night in pretty good shape. or so it looked at 11:30 PM. I'm not to fimular with this model of Volvo and was wondering if y'all could help me keep in eye out for the bad spots. Here is what I did notice for sure.
1966 Volvo PV544
4-Spd, Good interior (no tears or Cracks, does need new "board")
Only surface rust on the front, none in the rear of the car not even the floor pan
Not certain of the miles
The guy has it marked at $1000 MUST SELL

Thats all. if y'all could help me out here in describing wht the car drive and handles like it would be greatly helpful.
PS, i want this to get bac in to the Volvos. I was forced to part with my others sadly.
thank you and take it easy
