1988 760 turbo ebay intermittent problems volvo certified mechanic tells me "dont ever buy a car on ebay again moron"
right before the car dies it reeks of fuel, it runs fine usually for an hour or so before this happens, if i stop and shut it off, it floods upon restart, sometimes it will actually fire and then die and then the smell of gas is strong, usually it wont start after its been running for awhile, unless i get out unplug the amm, jiggle a few wires around the fuel injectors, pull the fuses to the fuel pumps, turn the motor over and flush the gas out of the system and plug the amm back in, jiggle the wires around the injectors again, tap on the rsr and then set back down put the fuses back in for both fuel pumps and then it starts right up, so obviously you can ascertain from that procedure i have no clue. use the car its a tool, i am in it every day running for at least 4, 5 hours a day, i have recently replaced, the amm, both fuel pumps, new wires the cap and rotor assembly so the hall effect issue or fuelpumps should be fine, it has a relatively new fuel pressure regulator as well, i hate hangin parts just for the hell of it. any input is appreciated, i have perused the faq section and have a parts list that includes coil, power stage, rpm sensor, fuel pump relay, idle air control solenoid valve? engine coolant temperature sensor, 02 sensor ok anyone have this exact problem
