87 240DL wagon loading up....help!!! 200 1987

Hey all...long time since Ive visited. I finally decided to get the wagon back on the road. I parked it two years ago because the ECU was bad. I found one at a great price so decided to get her running again. Installed it and it instantly fired up but now.....haha Its running great down the road but at an idle seems to really load up and miss out. Puffing a little black smoke because too much fuel and you can rev it up and clean it out but within seconds starts loading up again. Not sure where to start now...sensor? elctrical?? hmmmm?? any help would really be appreciated. I love this car and want to drive it again so bad but this fuel issue is getting the best of me!!
