Catalytic converter options 200 1980

The crap replacement converter I bought 6 years ago for $250 has rusted so much that the exit piece of pipe has rusted through (and the entry pipe is not far behind). The part only has 46k miles on it but it only had a 5 year/50k warranty. I don't know how much longer my 240 can win the war against rust so I want to minimize the $$$ put into it now - has anyone had any luck putting a used OEM converter on? Would any year 240 converter fit and how much should I expect to pay (if any place will sell one)? There are very few 240s in the scrap yards here. As an alternative, are there any really cheap (<$200) replacements out there? Thanks
