Pulling engine and Trans without lifting 200 1985

I bought a car that is rusted mid door all most completely around. This is the first Volvo I have gotten that I don't feel guilty using parts from as opposed to "saving". All other cars purchased for parts ended up as projects (much to the chagrin of my neighbors!!) The engine runs well, and being originally from Canada, has no AC. (Lots of room in the engine compartment!!)
Can I disassemble the front end enough,
and after supporting the engine sufficiently, just pull the car back to salvage the engine and trans. Have nothing to lift the engine with at this point, but will fabricate/rent when I put the all this in my 83 wagon (now missing an engine and tranny.)(Another "parts car" that was too good to not save!)
The car is rusted to the point it is not roadworthy. Figure I would remove the steering items/sway bars and all, support engine, remove mounts etc and tow the car back. What am I overlooking??
Thanks.
Bruce
