No Spark 1800

Colin;

If it was working before the work was performed and not after, you must suspect that something was done wrong or somehow disturbed...I suspect the points line is not opening the connection to chassis (as it should) when the points open...disconnect the wire going to the points, turn IGN ON, and connect to ground (charge coil) and disconnect (discharge coil, make spark, go boom). If this yields spark, check your work at dist. ....often the bolt going through the (early) dist housing shorts, but the ES has the plastic surrounded connector...so I wouldn't expect that problem....still, check out that dist!

Good Hunting!
