position of trigger wheel relative to TDC - installing flex plate b230ft 700 1990

I am installing a rebuilt '89 (LH 2.2) motor in a '90 760 (*LH 2.4)

I need to know the correct position of the break in the window relative to TDC.

When I removed the flex plate from the '90 engine I was absolutely sure that the break in the windows was aligned with the sensor when the notch in the front crank pulley was lined up with the mark on the belt cover. I haave received info that is contrary to this position.

How should the trigger wheel/ring be lined up relative to TDC?

Thanks
