starting problems 200

going to visit my brother and fix his car at the same time...

he has an 88 240dl which was running perfectly (it was mine 6 months ago...). he took it into the shop for a tune up and now it has a very hard time starting when cold. engine catches when the key is turned, but if you dont give a little throttle it dies out.

i dont think that mechanic broke anything but he was a little forgetful (when i took a quick look there was a hose and a few grounds disconnected, reconnecting them made no difference).

does anyone have any ideas on something that he may have forgotten to reconnect that would make the car have a hard time starting?
