stripped exhaust manifold stud 200 1982

I'm in the process of replacing the headgasket in my '82 244GLTic (my first time, hints/good ideas from more experienced brickboarders would be appreciated!) and I just stripped the upper exhaust manifold stud closest to the firewall. It didn't have a washer on it, and the stud and nut are rusted together. What's the best way to go about this? I have a road trip coming up (like tomarrow) and I figure if I have to, I can just leave that stud/nut out, and fix it later, but since I'm pulling the head,it would be way easier now. any ideas?
thanks
