Alternator problems

I changed the Alternator on my 1993 940 this past June when the battery died on me. Everything worked great for over a month then at the end of July my battery was mysteriously dead again. I took the car to Auto Zone where they told me that the battery and the Alternator were fine, after they charged it I've had no problems for 2 months until today when the battery mysteriously gave out again, I think it's been dying for at least a day or two. A jump only lasts for about 5 minutes which leads me to think my 4 month old Alternator has gone bad, however the same thing happened 2 months ago. Does anyone know of any possible electrical shorts or anything else it could be before I change this thing again? Thanks.
