!988 4 cyl Torbo no power and misses under load

Can anyone help me with a problem with a 1988 760 4 cyl Turbo engine problem.
The engine quit running and would not start. The problem was the Hall Effect
Switch in the distributor. Replaced the distributor and it started right up and ran
OK for about 1000 miles. While driving at a very low speed the engine suddenly
Lost power missing and some rattle / knocking noise in the valve area.

The engine will start right up but does not idle well. In natural the engine can be
Revered up to 3000 to 4000 RPM ‘s and it runs smoothly. When the engine is put
Under a load by putting it in gear it has no power and misses and has the rattle / knock
In the valve area.

The entire distributor including cap and rotor have been replaced. The coil and ignition
modular have been replaced. New spark plugs have been installed. But the problem still
continues. Anyone have any thought on what the problem may be?
