fuel line replacement 900

Hi everyone!
I have to replace fuel return line (the one which goes from fuel pressure regulator to fuel tank).Haynes says that working on fuel lines one has to depressurise those first by remowing fuel pump fuse and running engine till it stalls. In my case the fuse is for the pump and for injectors. So how can I depressurise fuel lines in my car? Is it critical to do so? Is there a high pressure when the engine is off?
Thanks for any advise.
