Mechanic fto repair warped head Sarasota,Bradenton,Tampa or St Petersburg Good/Bad experiences

think i will need a head repair at least that is what the dealer said and they only replace heads do not machine them. my 940 turbo has 150,000 and it is using water and sometime moving toward red. would appreciate any comments on positive or negative experiences that people may have had here on the gulf coast of fl with mechanics or shops. i of course want someone who will do a good job at a fair price. i have read some people heat the aluminum head then straighten and others shave it flat. concerned though about the head being shaved and changing the fit of the timing belt. thanks in advance
